The musical collective’s most recent album release\, #LoveInEvolution\, is the 24th recording in their legacy of tight harmonies and arts-based activism that spans four decades. Sweet Honey in the Rock and its core founding members: Nitanju Bolade Casel\, Aisha Kahlil\, Carol Maillard\, and Louise Robinson have toured the world with their powerful sound. \nThe musical collective was formed when the four women met as members of the D.C. Black Repertory Theater Company in 1973. Sweet Honey in the Rock’s potent and rich sound has garnered them a worldwide following; the women strive to reach and connect with their diverse audience base. Sweet Honey in the Rock has strong ties to the Deaf community and ensures all their live performances include a sign language interpreter.
