SUMMARY:Our Story: Celebrating the African-American Experience through Spoken Word\, Dance & Music
DESCRIPTION:Our Story\, written\, produced and directed by Shaumba-Yandje Dibinga\, is a compilation of poetry\, dance\, music and scenes from historical and current events significant to African and African-American history. This special performance will feature actors from local colleges\, high schools\, and middle schools along with OrigiNation’s professional youth dance companies. The audience will experience a variety of emotions from laughter to tears as we remember\, learn and celebrate the importance of African-American history. \nApproximate running time: 2 hours with a 20- minute intermission. \nMasks are not mandatory\, but strongly encouraged.
